BDHenja Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how the BDHenja application for Windows (the “App”) handles information. It is separate from the website notice about cookies and similar website features. This Policy covers files accessed by the App, information stored on the device, communications with Microsoft Store, and support correspondence.

1. Information accessed by the App

The App reads files that the user explicitly selects, including Blu-ray BDMV folders and ISO images, DVD-Video sources, video, audio, subtitles, BDPKG files, and BDHenja project files, in order to edit, preview, convert, and export them. The App writes projects, BDPKG files, Blu-ray output, MP4, MKV, and other generated files to locations selected by the user.

The App stores local preferences that help continue the user’s work, including the interface language, window state, last-used folder, and paths to recent projects. Recent-project entries can be removed from within the App.

The App stores diagnostic logs in the BDHenja folder on the device for troubleshooting. A log may contain operation names, error details, timestamps, and paths of files used. Logs are size-limited and rotated. They are not automatically sent to the developer.

2. Processing of media and projects

Selected Blu-ray, DVD, ISO, video, audio, subtitle, project, and output data is processed on the user’s Windows device. The App does not automatically upload this content to a server operated by the developer.

The App may create temporary files on the device while performing requested operations. These files are normally cleaned up when processing finishes, is canceled, or the App closes. Projects and output files saved by the user remain in the selected location until the user deletes them.

3. Microsoft Store services

The App uses Microsoft Store APIs provided by Windows to verify whether the App license is active, determine trial status, and check for available updates. During these operations, Microsoft may process information relating to the user’s Microsoft account, device, license, and Store usage.

The developer does not obtain Microsoft account passwords or payment-card information through the App. Microsoft’s processing of information is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

4. Support correspondence

When a user emails support, the developer receives the user’s email address, display name, message, and any files the user chooses to attach. This information is used to reply, investigate problems, improve quality, and provide necessary follow-up.

Support information is retained only for as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations. Subject to applicable retention requirements, users may ask to access, correct, or delete their support information by contacting the address below.

5. Disclosure and sale of information

The App does not sell users’ media, projects, diagnostic logs, or personal information. It does not share them with third parties for advertising or behavioral analytics.

Information may be processed by third parties only as necessary for Microsoft Store operations initiated through the App, delivery of support email by email service providers, compliance with legal obligations, or an explicit instruction from the user.

6. User choices and control

Users choose which files the App opens and where files are saved. Projects, output files, temporary work data, diagnostic logs, and App settings can be removed from the device using Windows features or file management. A recent-project entry can be removed in the App without deleting the project file itself.

The App does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, or proprietary usage telemetry.

7. Security

The App processes selected files and settings under the permissions of the user’s Windows account. Users should maintain backups of important media and projects and apply appropriate access controls to their Windows account and storage locations.

8. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated when the App’s features or information practices change, or when legal or Microsoft Store requirements change. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
